Early on April 7, 2017, the United States Navy conducted Tomahawk missile strikes on al-Shayrat airbase in Homs, Syria, in retaliation for an alleged chemical weapons attack earlier in the week on Khan Sheikhoun, in opposition-controlled Idlib. The strikes mark the first time the United States has deliberately targeted the Syrian military since an uprising began in 2011. Continue reading

France is confident of winning two more foreign orders for its Rafale combat aircraft by the beginning of 2016, according to a report by Reuters News Agency.  Recently, France won orders from Egypt and Qatar for 24 Rafale fighters each. Continue reading

Russian officials are claiming the Iranian nuclear deal with the international community negates the need for U.S.-sponsored missile defenses in Europe.  The United States and its European allies are building a limited missile defense shield on the continent.  Russia is very opposed to this plan.
